HND, Computer Science
Programme Overview
The HND in Computer Science provides advanced training in software development, databases, networking, operating systems, web and application development, and systems analysis. The programme equips graduates with strong problem-solving and applied computing skills.
Entry Requirements
The entry requirement into Higher National Diploma in Computer Science is as follows:
- A National Diploma in Computer Science obtained from an accredited programme with at least a lower credit pass or
- The Nigerian certificate in Education with major in Computer Education at not less than the merit level pass
- Computer Professional Examination I (CPE1) of Computer Professionals Registration Council of Nigeria (CPN) with at least the lower credit.
The student must be prima fascia qualified for National Diploma (ND)
In addition to 1, 2 and 3 above, the candidate must have acquired not less than one year post ND/NCE/CPE 1 cognate work experience
In exceptional cases, ND diplomats with a pass in the ND examination with two or more years cognate experience in the specific field may be considered for admission into the HND programme
Graduation Requirements
