Programme Overview

The National Diploma (ND) in Business Administration and Management is designed to produce middle-level manpower equipped with practical and theoretical knowledge in business operations and management. The programme focuses on developing competencies in planning, organizing, coordinating, and controlling business activities in both public and private sector organizations. It is structured in line with NBTE minimum standards and includes classroom instruction, practical exercises, and the Supervised Industrial Work Experience Scheme (SIWES).

Entry Requirements

O’Level Requirement

The Minimum entry requirements into National Diploma (ND) in Business Administration and Management are Five (5) Credits passes in WAEC/SSCE/NECO/GCE O’level/NABTEB Examination at not more than two (2) sittings.

The subject include: English Language (not Literature in English or Oral English) and Mathematics and any other three subjects from the following: Economics, Business Methods, Principles of Accounts, Literature in English, Commerce, History, Statistics, Geography, Government, Agricultural Science/Biology.

A credit pass in N.B.T.E. recognized pre National Diploma Examination

Jamb Requirement

English Language and   Mathematics and any two (2) from Geography, Commerce, Government, Principles of Accounts, Economics.

UTME score: 100

Graduation Requirements

To be awarded the National Diploma (ND) in Business Administration and Management, a student must:

  • Successfully complete and pass all prescribed courses in ND I and ND II

  • Complete the mandatory SIWES programme and submit an approved report

  • Complete and defend the final year ND project

  • Earn the minimum total credit units as approved by NBTE (typically 72–80 units)

  • Attain a minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 2.00

  • Meet all institutional, academic, and administrative requirements
